After the very successful Soirées Luc Ferrari in September 2023, the association Bruit is once again guest at Le Singe, this time presenting groundbreaking works by leading voices in contemporary American music !
Rarely heard music by Phill Niblock (1933-2024) and Pauline Oliveros (1932-2016), which has never been performed in Biel/Bienne before, will draw you in and provoke unprecedented listening experiences. The “Bruit – Group for Music Creation” line-up especially assembled for this event will perform a piece by drone music pioneer Niblock; an engagingly physical and organic music to immerse yourself in. On the other hand, a concept by “Deep Listening” pioneer and activist Oliveros will be realised, offering a thoughtful counterpoint to Niblock’s work. Additionnaly, one of her iconic tape pieces will also be played. A “Soirée Bruit” defined by radicalism, yet captivating the listener with a fascinating blend of physical intensity that both massages and caresses the ears.
