Hannes Lingens is a musician and composer of contemporary and experimental music. Most of his music takes place in the intersection between improvisation and composition, often taking the form of oral instructions, graphic notation or card games.
Hannes is a member of the ensembles Modèle Réduit and Die Hochstapler and has worked with artists like Peter Ablinger, Félicie Bazelaire, Johnny Chang, Sven-Åke Johansson, Phill Niblock and John Tilbury. His work has been presented at festivals such as Moers Festival, Jazzfest Berlin and Donaueschinger Musiktage and is documented on a variety of releases on labels like Umlaut, Another Timbre, Edition Wandelweiser and Hitorri.
