Group for Music Creation

EN Bruit – Group for Music Creation was founded in 2021 by Jonas Kocher and Gaudenz Badrutt on the occasion of the recording of the CD “Perspectives and Echoes / Tautologos III”. The ensemble is composed of performers and improvising musicians and is dedicated to music creation that manifests in different constellations and groups of variable geometry. The ensemble explores the musical field between composition and improvisation, between acoustic and electronic sounds, combining these practices and challenging existing categories.

DE Bruit – Group for Music Creation wurde 2021 von Jonas Kocher und Gaudenz Badrutt anlässlich der Aufnahme der CD „Perspectives and Echoes / Tautologos III“ gegründet. Das Ensemble ist ein kreatives Zusammenkommen von improvisierenden Musiker:innen und Interpret:innen in variabler Konstellation. Erforscht wird Musik mit akustischer und elektronischer Klanglichkeit, zwischen Komposition und Improvisation. Diese unterschiedlichen Ansätze werden vermischt und althergebrachte Kategorisierungen in Frage gestellt.

L’ensemble est composé d’interprètes et de musicien·e·s improvisateurs· trices et se consacre à la création musicale dans différents constellations et groupes à géométrie variable. L’ensemble explore les champs sonores et musicaux situé entre composition et improvisation, entre sons acoustiques et électroniques, alliant ces pratiques et faisant fi des catégories existantes.
