Sebastian Rotzler, born in 1968, is a self-taught musician with a background in both classical and experimental music. He furthered his studies at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland. His work spans experimental sound art through installations, performances, concerts, and visual art, all designed to explore unique listening spaces and challenge traditional listening practices. Rooted in the traditions of composition and music, Rotzler collaborates with prominent figures in free improvisation, participates in interdisciplinary projects, and performs solo. His contributions to the field have been recognized and supported by institutions such as Pro Helvetia, the Canton of Bern, the City of Biel, and the Canton of Solothurn.
