The Berlin-based Maulwerker are specialists in vocal experiments and the performativity of music. Their expanded understanding of music integrates elements from performance art, intermedia and conceptual art, and contemporary dance theatre.
The project Textures Spatiales combines transdisciplinary working methods between contemporary music, sound art and performance art. The programme includes multi-perspective spatial pieces of music based on German and French texts or alternating between the two languages. The compositions are developed for the five voices of the ensemble.
