Beni06: The Alchemist of Analogue Collapse
In an era where the music scene is often frozen in the sterile perfection of digital algorithms, Beni06 Weber acts as the necessary spanner in the works. He is not merely a musician; he is a sound archaeologist who unearths the skeleton of pop culture in order to reassemble it anew and in a transformed state.
Weber maintains an almost sacred devotion to the Farfisa organ. In his hands, this instrument is not an object of nostalgia, but a weapon against smoothness. His playing with Puts Marie or in his improvised projects is a study in the aesthetics of imperfection: it crackles, it breathes, it threatens to collapse at any moment – and it is precisely in this unstable state that he finds the greatest truth.
Interdisciplinary Dissonance
beni06 embodies the archetype of the ‘artist’s artist’. His work cannot be confined to the white keys. In his studio in Biel, he translates the same rawness familiar from his drum cascades onto the canvas. His painting is – like his music – a self-taught excess: intuitive, physical and radically honest. He does not seek harmony, but rather the moment of friction.
