Manoir Bruit is the sound creation programme of association Bruit, in collaboration with Haus am Gern and Château de Sibra.
From 13 to 22 August 2025, Biel/Bienne-based sound artist, researcher and violinplayer HannaH Walter is in residence at Manoir Bruit in Sibra, France, as the fifth artist invited to the programme.
The resulting work will be accessible via the Locus Sonus livestream as well as on the Bruit webpage – blending with the surrounding sounds of the park of the Chateau de Sibra.
In HannaH’s work, development is already part of it.

la toute petite maison de la sorcière
In breathtaking summer heat
with a suitcase of clothes
and threads, wool, and wires
and microphones with wind
protection and pliers
and screw hooks and clamps
and the polaroid cam
with backpack and violin
case and score
fragment with fourteen hands
and claws and a violin corpus

my alter ego
and one of his speculative selves
the witch
with her black bent hat
and a truncated cone
we travelled by train
walking and working a week
between day and night
between Chateau Bureau
and Manoir Bruit

chli hus am gern
we call it the witch’s house
where we draw magic circles
we play cat’s cradle games
with witchy wits
we brew recipes
for rituals
and counter spells
