After collaborations with large ensembles (Contrechamps, GGRIL), the DDK Trio joins forces with Japanese musician Sachiko M in what feels like an inevitable encounter. The trio’s practice revolves around listening to sound in propagation, crafting music in perpetual transformation through finely tuned interactions. Sachiko M brings a radically different approach: using electronic reductionism, she stretches sine waves infinitely, opening spaces of rare depth.
Together, they explore sound as a collective and moving force, pushing each musician beyond their own imaginative limits through free improvisation with no mutual influence. The result is an unprecedented reconfiguration of music in time and space — ephemeral sonic architectures of unsuspected breadth.
The tension between the trio’s warm, expansive sound and Sachiko M’s cold, laser-sharp tones creates a deeply ambivalent sonic universe. A striking, productive friction.
