A Right to Silence – DDK Trio Release Tour 2023

Jacques Demierre piano
Axel Dörner trumpet
Jonas Kocher accordion

To mark the release of the 3-CD box set “A Right to Silence” on the Meenna/Ftarri label, the trio founded in 2014 by Jacques Demierre will perform in Canada and Europe. Diffraction, a new composition by DDK Trio conceived for them together with GGRIL, an ensemble of musicians from Rimouski, will be premiered on 17 October 2023 in the frame of Québec musiques parralèlles 2023.

For the album A Right to Silence, the three musicians decided to apply the principle of non-influence in choosing each other that they have been practising for years as a trio. So they each made their own album from the same raw recordings, separately, each on their own. An original text by Thibault Walter completes the album.
